Forsthaus Dechsendorf in Erlangen

As a hunter, I know how game should taste. I gave it five stars, for top service, great locality and delicious food ;-)

Great concept with "to-go". Packaging is compostable. As usual, the food was delicious.

In times of Corona goose to go for home, I can say a poem. Ready on time, in a box to go. Everything packed in paper cups. Really top in every respect! 100% recommendation and that for 60 € 👍

Hello dear forestry team, Your food to-go was great. I had a large portion of dumplings and a wild boar goulash - very tasty. A good atmosphere in the kitchen and friendly service with simplified WhatsApp ordering round off the whole thing. Let's hope for a nice summer without the current restrictions. We will see each other.

Food very good. Service works like this .....

We were out for a walk by the pond in the area. The forester's house still had places available for us in the late afternoon without a reservation. We had to wait a little longer for our food. But the duck was very tasty and priced just about right.

It was almost perfect. Very friendly service. Eating a poem. Thank you for a very pleasant and cozy evening. We'll definitely be back. PS: The Corona rules are also respected there without being bothered!

We went out to eat with the family some time ago. All dishes were well presented and it tasted very good. It's a bit noisy in the beer garden, but you get used to it through the street.

Celebrated our wedding here last week. Very competent and friendly planning aid, even short-term changes and requests were taken into account. Food was perfect. Service was great, fast service and very attentive, great atmosphere. Are more than satisfied, can only be recommended 👍

We had to wait a long time for the food. All around, other guests had their dishes. With the hint to at least bring the children's meal, it was clear that we had been forgotten. The zander for € 20 was overpriced. Otherwise very good.

Nice beer garden with a view of the "lake". The service was friendly and nimble, the food was good, but I would have liked a little more choice of smaller dishes on the hot days.

Juice shop !! The service was unfriendly, you are simply ignored, even after repeatedly speaking to the waiter, "I'm coming soon". If you have no space available you can just say it ... and expect a tip ?! Never again!!

Very good to recommend. The food was very well prepared. The forester's lodge is located on the lake. You can go there very well after the meal. The service was very friendly. Price performance is ok.

Nice location. Food is quite expensive, yet nothing special. I was told that I could pay with credit card. Then it took several useless attempts to make the machine work which cost me at least 10 minutes. Finally the waiter called somebody to look after the internet router. Magically then the credit card was accepted immediately. My impression was that the router was turned off deliberately to prevent guests paying with credit card.

Cozy restaurant located at the Dechsendorfer pond. Good kitchen, friendly staff, shady beer garden.

The food always tastes excellent. Have a stroll round the lake before or after food. Every time going there gives me smile.

Nice to sit outside, with a little bit of sunshine, under the trees... Recommendable.

The garden is really nice as it's practically in the forest. Parking is convenient. Food is all good as these restaurants are the masters of the local cuisine - but the service was a bit slow... but hey, it's Germany so it shouldn't be a surprise 😊

Very good food and nice prices. The location is outstanding. Watch the sunset over the Dechsendorfer Weiher while dining. As with a lot of restaurants I have to criticize the beer choices. In the surrounding area are more than 100 breweries. You can only order beer from a large brewery, why not supporting the local brewers? The beer is much more delicious. The food here is great. I love the “Schäufala”. In my opinion one of the best in the area. The restaurant has a lot of seats outside and also some capacity inside. There is a little playground. The parking area is small.

Nice place, popular when sunny.

Super delicious. Dare I say it.. best Schaufele in Franken?!?! There I said it. Go there and taste it for yourself. Although slightly off the main trail, well worth it.
